To join two connected linear feature instances of the same type (e.g. Gas Main to Gas Main):
- Click on the Join Features tool.
- Left-Click on the first linear feature. The feature highlights.
- Left-Click on the second linear feature. The feature "flickers" as the join operation is completed.
Note: By default, the property values of the first feature instance are preserved in the merged feature.
